Its Time to Speak

Christians, there is a great need for you to speak up, this need is getting greater and greater every day. What you choose to speak about reveals what your heart holds most dear. A call is being made for us, those who believe in Christ, to speak the Gospel of Christ to a lost and dying world. He is the only answer! He is the only one who can save.

I know this may sound like some sort of Christian naivety. However, it may sound, it is the truth. Satan wishes us to be silent; he wishes us to be distracted. The call that we have, which is given to us in the full power of Christ, is to make disciples of Christ and teach people how to fully follow Him. The voice we need to raise is a voice of the redeemed declaring the redemption of Christ for those who would believe.

Preaching Christ and Him crucified, I know, seems foolish, but it is life and salvation. It is what our world needs most desperately in its current situation. Fight for political parties, it may be our civic duty, but it will not change the destiny of any soul. Fight for cultural activities, it may be in your nature, but it will not change sinful hearts. Fight for your own personal preferences, it is well within your rights, but that will never declare the mind of Christ.

Are there rights and wrongs in our society that needs to be spoken for and against? Absolutely! However, when our voices (spoken or written) never give the answer in love, we only become like “sounding brass or tinkling cymbal.” I love my country, but I love the souls of men and women more. I desperately want to see peace in our streets. However, peace in the streets happens only when there is peace at home, and peace at home only happens when there is peace in the heart. So then how do we see peace in the hearts of men and women, boys and girls? We see peace by preaching Jesus Christ, the prince of peace. We preach the One who sought to reconcile a world at war with God through His sacrifice upon the cross.

Speak the name, the name above every name. Live the name, the name above every name. Speak the name of Jesus. Let it start in your own soul and mind. Speak it to your house, speak it in your church, speak it in your community; whatever you do share the hope that we have in Christ.

“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (KJV Phil 2:8-11).
