Acts 2:22-36

Who is Jesus?

• He is risen King in power
  • Death could not hold Him
  • He defeated the grave
  • He lives in resurrection power.
• He is risen King in position v. 30
  • He sits on the throne of God
• He is risen King in purpose v. 36
  • He is Lord—Supremacy
  • He is Christ—Messiah—Anointed One

Your Best Life…Because He Lives

“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!”

• Live in His power
  • The same power that raised Christ lives in you. This is why it is said that you are more than a conqueror. Roman 8
  • Your goal is to know him and the power of His resurrection. Phil 3:10
    • As Paul writes, he wants to know/experience the power of Christ’s resurrection. That is, he wants to experience the same power that raised Christ from the dead surging through his own being, overcoming sin in his life and producing the Christian graces.
    • Evidencing power
    • Justifying power
    • Life-giving power
• Live in His presence
  • He is seated in the heavenly (Eph 1:19-2:6)
    • We sit in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Since our life and identity is in Christ, as He sits in heavenly places, so do we.
    • “And now we sit in heavenly places – we have a right to the kingdom of God, anticipate this glory, and are indescribably happy in the possession of this salvation, and in our fellowship with Christ Jesus.”
• Live in His purpose
  • Allow Him to be Lord—let him lead
  • Allow Him to be Christ—Let him deliver.
