Do We Really Know?

I had several things that caused me to wake up last night.  One of the biggest issues was being made aware of a spiritual battle that I was in and losing.  In my dreams (and yes I am a big believer that God speaks through dreams) I became aware of how I was allowing spiritual forces to attack me and keep me from where I should be.  For the past several months I have been working on a writing project and while the first few weeks came with such great accomplishment things have slowed to a crawl.  Many call it writers block but I call it spiritual warfare.  However, in this case I was not paying attention to the fact that I was in a battle let alone losing the battle. Once again in a dream the Lord spoke to me.

I could literally see the attack coming at me in my dreams. I could feel the evil and darkness coming on me as if it were about to over take me.  I was in a place that I chose to be in and in choosing to be there I was going into the battle but not seeing it as a battle. I was about to be overtaken.  I could do nothing the demons had me right where they wanted me.  It was at the moment where I saw myself about to be taken under that I cried out for Jesus to cleanse me.  As I slept deep in my dreams I felt the cleansing flow of the blood of Christ on me, my body tingled from head to toe.

I do not think that many of us understand the spiritual battle we are facing.  We struggle all throughout our days with many and various problems and we have no clue why.  We chalk it up to our work situations, or the people we have to deal with on an everyday basis.  We blame our families, our spouses, our children, and even the stranger driving down the road. Yet what we do not seem to know or remember is that Satan and demonic forces are the ones trying to destroy us.  We are told in Ephesians 6 that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but we wrestle against spiritual wickedness.  It is not the people at work that are making your day rough but rather it is the spiritual forces that surround.

We must realize that the only way to victory is to call out to Christ.  If we do not call upon Him we will go down.  You, like too many others, are struggling with many things when you do have to struggle.  The battle we face is strong, the forces that come up against us are powerful but we must know “greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.”  Victory can be had if….

  1. You can see the truth about what is actually happening.  The truth you are in a battle!
  2. You can see the desperateness of your condition.  Your condition is desperate, for without Him you can do nothing.
  3. You can call out to Jesus and trust in Him for all.  Who ever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, this your salvation into Christ as well as your salvation in everyday life.  The one who trust in Him is the one who wins.

  1. We are a nation that likes to win. How is that we collectively our not concerned in the battle for souls? If we put as much effort in winning souls as we do in supporting our favorite sports team what glorious amounts of souls could we win to Christ? Yes, I like your statement, (he who trusts Him wins!)
